After ten incredible years, we're saying goodbye to our Cool Springs Galleria location. Our last day will be September 14th, and while this was sudden, we're stepping into it with a full heart and a lot of gratitude.
Cool Springs wasn't just another store for us-it was our first step into multi-unit retail, which felt huge then. We were branching out, testing ourselves, learning the ropes of managing a team across multiple locations (and learning what not to do... real fast). It's safe to say we grew at Cool Springs.
While mall life has its rhythm-different shoppers, different hours, definitely frequent coffee runs-this store gave us more than just a sales floor. It allowed us to hire some of the best coworkers we've ever had, many of whom are still part of the Molly Green story today. Lifelong friendships were born in that back room. Shift change therapy sessions, team dinners, pep talks, and panic-laughing in the stockroom over holiday chaos happened there.
Speaking of chaos, if you've never worked a mall Black Friday, it's a special kind of adrenaline. We'll genuinely miss the buzz of it, but if we're honest, Black Friday isn't what it used to be. Add in extended mall hours and team members sacrificing time with family, and it starts to feel a little out of step with what we want for our people and our brand. So, while we're sentimental about the traditions, we're also excited to explore new ways to serve and celebrate our community without burning everyone out.
As Nashville continues to grow and evolve, we've seen a shift in where and how people shop. We've found so much success in our neighborhood and street-facing locations, where we're able to offer personal, connected experiences that feel true to who we are. This change allows us to put more energy into those spaces and into what's working best for our team and our customers.
Cool Springs is the longest-standing store in our lineup, and it's been both a challenge and a joy. The Cool Springs customer is loyal and stylish and has been with us through a lot of changes. We've loved helping you find the perfect look for everything from school dances to first jobs, date nights, breakups, and just-because-you're-feeling-yourself days. Thank you for shopping with us, laughing with us, and sticking with us through a global pandemic and many playlists.
So yes, this is goodbye to a space we've loved deeply, but it's also a healthy, exciting next step for our small business. And, don't worry, you will still see some familiar faces! Our Cool Springs team members are welcome into other Molly Green stores, and we're so grateful for the heart and energy they've brought to this location over the years.
