Mornings with MG: Smoothie Recipe

After rolling out of bed in the morning it can be so easy to opt out on a bite to eat. It is vital to put some food in your tummy before starting your day!

Acai Smoothie Recipe:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 frozen acai pack
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • handful of frozen strawberries
  • splash of coconut water (you can be the judge of how much water you prefer. start with a little at a time)
  • 1 tbsp of agave
  • ice if you used fresh fruit

optional: protein of choice (if your vegan like me, you have to try a little harder to get in the right amount of nutrients. i recommend putting protein powder into your smoothies, grits and oats)



always use frozen fruit it will keep your smoothie cold.

you can even use coconut milk if you want your smoothie to be thicker/ creamy.

the acai berry is an antioxidant that helps balance cholesterol levels.

you can add chia seeds (these offer omega-3 fatty acids, carbohydrates, protein, fiber, antioxidants, and calcium. they also expand in water which help make you feel full longer).
