Labor Day Block Party: Hillsboro Village

 Ladies, gents, and all you fabulous fashion enthusiasts out there, it's time to mark your calendars because we've got a sizzling summer event coming your way that you won't want to miss. If you're in Nashville on Labor Day 2023, make sure you're strutting down to our Hillsboro Village location for a day of fashion, fun, and a whole lot of 'Mamma Mia' magic. That's right, the AB Block Party is back, stop by Molly Green as we bring you all the style and sass of the 70s to the heart of Music City!

What's the AB Block Party, you ask?

The AB Block Party is a free festival taking place on September 4th, from 11 AM to 1 PM, right in the parking lot of the iconic Belcourt Theatre, located at 2102 Belcourt Avenue. This all-ages extravaganza is set to be the ultimate Labor Day celebration. Picture this: multiple music stages with an incredible lineup, pop-ups from local businesses, delectable food trucks, and much more.

The Star-Studded Lineup

The music scene is heating up with headliner Joy Oladokun, who's been making waves fresh from opening for none other than John Mayer and Noah Kahan. If you haven't heard of her, well, you're in for a treat. Her 2023 album 'Proof of Life' has been hailed as "therapeutic folk-pop" by The New York Times, and she's been acclaimed by NPR, Variety, Rolling Stone, and more. If that's not enough, Nashville's very own mayoral candidate and former Belcourt Theatre board member, Freddie O’Connell, will be doing a special DJ set. Plus, a slew of other Nashville-based acts will be there to keep the music vibes flowing. And let's not forget, the witty Blake Eason from WKRN will be MC-ing the main stage. Supporting Independent Cinema and Arts Education

Now, here's the real star of the show - supporting the 98-year-old Belcourt Theatre's ongoing mission to provide independent cinema and arts education. While the tickets are free, we're encouraging a suggested donation of $20. As for Molly Green, we've got something special cooked up for you. Our theme for the day is 'Mamma Mia,' and we're calling it "Gimme Gimme Gimme Molly Green." Our doors will be wide open from 10 AM to 7 PM but our event will be from 12-close, so feel free to stop by before or after the ticketed event!
