MG Intern Lauren here! For this month in Birmingham, we’ve got some events that’ll make you feel extra classy. From locally grown flower markets to seeing classic films in the beautiful Alabama Theater. Check out these one-of-a-kind events that will make you feel like I’ve let you in on the Magic City’s best-kept secrets. Don’t be shy if you spot me at one of these lovely events!

Magic City Flower Market - July 17, 2019

Shop locally grown cut flowers every Wednesday until October 2nd!
We are a collective of 8 flower farmers. Together, we have formed Birmingham's first (and only) local flower market. We have a weekly market at Rosegolden (130 41st S), Holly Carlisle's design studio, in Avondale.

Art On The Rocks - July 12, 2019 & August 9, 2019

Art On The Rocks presented by Dale's Seasoning will bring you the best of Birmingham with three Friday nights of art-centered entertainment— from live music and dj dance parties, to artist demos and interactive mural-making. Art On The Rocks always brings out the fabulous and fashionable, and the 2019 theme will take cues from our exhibition, Ways of Seeing: Fashion.

Alabama Theatre Summer Film Series

Presenting the 2019 Alabama Theatre Summer Film Series. Tickets for all movies are $9 each. Children ages two and younger are free of charge. Doors open 1 hour before showtime, and each screening will begin with a sing-along accompanied by the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ.
