Hi friends! My name is Alex and I am a Nashville based lifestyle blogger and creative over at Authentically Alex. I am so excited to be partnering with Molly Green and sharing some of my favorite pieces with y’all.
Anyone who follows along on my feed knows that I like to think I was born in the wrong era and was destined to wear bandanas and bell bottoms. So when I stumbled across Molly Green, I instantly fell in love. Wide-legged jeans, ringer tees, and bowler shirts? Molly Green is what all my 1970s clothing dreams are made of. I love how Molly Green mixes staples and trendy pieces and all at an incredibly affordable price point. Browsing the website and their Instagram feed (which is total #goals), I immediately fell in love with two pieces: the Alma Jeans and the Greer top. From the moment I saw them, I knew they were going to be on major repeat this spring.
First up are these amazing jeans! At 5’2”, I always struggle to find denim that fits right off the rack and doesn’t need to be hemmed. These culottes are the perfect full-length jean on me, but would also make for an adorable cropped look on all you taller ladies. Can we all just go ahead and agree that high-waisted denim will forever be trendy? I love how the cut of these jeans gives the illusion of a much longer leg. I chose to fully embrace the 70s vibes these jeans were giving me, and pair them with a ringer tee, bandana, platform sandals, and the Inline Sunnies.
I love pairing wider jeans with more fitted tops, so this ringer tee was the perfect option! I opted to fully tuck in my tee to show off the high-waisted fit of the denim and create a more casual, weekend vibe. But for a slightly elevated look, these jeans would be amazing with a half-tucked button-down and nude heels – casual Friday, anyone?
My other new closet staple from Molly Green is the Greer top. The cropped cut of this blouse makes it the perfect piece to pair with high-waisted denim and skirts. Here I go with the high-waisted trend again – I told y’all I love it! I chose to go for an all-black outfit with a pop of denim. Pairing this top with black, skinny jeans made for the perfect casual look for a day around Nashville.
I love how a versatile piece like this could also be easily dressed up for a girls’ night or date. The silky fabric and flowy cut of this top would pair well with dark washed flare jeans or a colorful skirt. You could even undo one more button and wear a lacy bralette for a sassy, flirty look.
I am excited to keep wearing these pieces and finding new ways to rock them all year long. Molly Green’s pieces are so versatile and I am looking forward to styling these pieces year-round.
