Union Market - Washington DC
Following a tip from DC blog The DC Darlings, my family and I ubered out to Union Market to see what all the fuss was about. As we wondered throughout the aisles and aisles of food stalls we were blown away by the vast array of options. Do we get a charcuterie platter? Korean tacos? Live sea urchins? How would we ever pick?! (Another HUGE plus for me was all of the gluten free options that were showcased throughout the market, as well as the vegan options that would have made the rest of the MG Creative Team weak with happiness.)
I ended up snagging a wildly refreshing smoothie bowl, my sister opted for a poke bowl, and my mom chowed down on those aforementioned Korean tacos.
We were all supremely satisfied and fueled up with enough energy to check out the market’s two non-food oriented stalls, a home/gift shop called Salt & Sundry and a tiny little plants and paper booth called Little Leaf. Both were insanely well curated and made me want to leave the building with bags and bags of new goodies.
We truly had the best afternoon at Union Market and can’t wait to go back to try out all of the food we didn’t get to today. We also found out that they do drive in movies from April – November on the first Friday of each month! Click HERE to check out the schedule.
If you’re ever in the area don’t hesitate to check it out!
P.S. There are some crazy good wall murals on the outside of the building that make for perfect photo spots! Happy exploring!!
